“Nope” movie poster done in the style of traditional United States poster design. Poster 2/3 for my capstone project “How Cultural differences and symbolism affect a countrys movie poster.

Rooted in the surreal, abstract tradition of Polish poster design, this piece treats the film not as a product but as poetic metaphor. The imagery is flat and symbolic, balancing dual readings: a crying eyeball and a UFO in mid-abduction. The design prioritizes interpretation over clarity—functioning more like fine art than advertising. Inspired by the era of Polish state-commissioned posters under communism, it reflects a philosophy of freedom through abstraction: tactile, metaphoric, and emotionally resonant. This poster doesn’t tell you what Nope is—it dares you to feel it.
