For my senior capstone, I conducted an in-depth research project on how cultural differences and symbolism influence movie poster design in Japan, Poland, and the United States. This included visits to Poland and New York to look through Posteriati’s poster archives. Drawing from each country’s distinct visual language—Japanese experimentalism, Polish surrealism, and American minimalism—I created a series of 3 original movie posters for the same movie to show the differences in each countries approach to the movie poster.. The project explores the intersection of design and culture, reimagining the movie poster as both a functional promotional tool and a standalone art object.

“Nope” movie poster done in the style of traditional United States poster design. Poster 1/3 for my capstone project “How Cultural differences and symbolism affect a countrys movie poster.”
